"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us."  ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Greetings! I have just created and integrated a VoiceThread  into a lesson plan on a Social Studies unit. My daughters, Abby and Anna helped me with this project. In October, we took a field trip to St. Louis to see the Gateway Arch and the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial museum. We took some great pictures. Anna helped me narrate the slides for this project. This web 2.0 tool is great to use for creating projects you want other people to view and comment on. It's quite simple and involves only a few steps. First, create an account, then upload images or video, next comment on your images or video, there are five different ways to comment. You can comment by using your voice with a microphone or telephone, text, audiofile, or video with webcam. Finally, share your VoiceThread with other students, friends or colleagues. They will be able to leave comments too.
Check out my VoiceThread and let me know what you think! I have also created a Photos Journal tab where you may view my field trip photos. Each picture has a descriptive caption that will explain how the picture relates to the lesson. To take a quiz after viewing my VoiceThread, please click here. If you are interested in creating a VoiceThread of your own, check out this website. Thanks!
